I am a mom, a computer geek, an anthropology and linguistics student, and a capoeira player. In January I got married to the sweetest man on Earth. His name is Adam David Rennison. I love the Net because it is a great big playground where all your interests are available to you and all your ideas can be set out for others to see, but I also love school. That sounds strange coming from someone who pretty much flunked out of high school, and only graduated because of the California High School Profficiency Examination, but school is really an awesome place. The problem is that you have to make it through all of the boring stuff at the compulsory levels to get to the fun stuff at the university level. Now, as a researcher and educator I have the opportunity to combine the Net and school. If you are looking for me on the Net, you can find me running around under the name Despista wherever I go. The nick is short for "despistada" which basically means "airhead". Give me a puzzle to solve and I will solve it, but just don't ask me to find my glasses or tie my shoes. (oh! there they are!!)
