FSBC Special Opportunity!

Interested in what really happens in the offices of a Big 4 Accounting Firm? Join FSBC from 2-4pm on Friday, December 4th on an office visit to Ernst & Young in their San Francisco Office. During the office visit, you will have the opportunity to meet Ernst & Young professionals, play games and tour their facilities! Professionals will also share interviewing tips for the upcoming Big Four Internship Forum scheduled for January 21, 2010. Snacks will be provided and the attire for the event will be business casual. RSVP IS NECESSARY. We will be meeting at the Berkeley Bart on Friday afternoon to make the trip to San Francisco.

Haas Application Panel

Not sure if you're on the right track to Haas? Come to 141 Giannini at 7:00pm this Wednesday, November 18th to listen to a panel of current Haas undergraduates speak about their experiences preparing for the application process, including their experiences in student groups on campus, tips on which classes to take and when, and a brief question-and-answer session. Don't miss out on an opportunity to get your lingering questions answered!

Poker Tournament (Postponed)

Due to poker tournament conflicts, we will be having the FSBC Poker Tournament at the beginning of the spring semester. This gives you all of winter break to prepare for the spring tournament(s).

EGRET Aquatic Park Volunteer Event

An incredibly fun volunteer opportunity is THIS SATURDAY, November 14th! Join FSBC at Berkeley's largest city park as we help preserve the habitat for Berkeley wildlife. We will be meeting at Shattuck and Allston (the bus stop in front of the BART station - don't forget your Cal ID) at 9:15 am. In the upcoming weeks, FSBC will be partnering with Aquatic Park EGRET to help improve the shoreline of the San Francisco Bay. Check out http://egretpark.org/ for more information about the park.

One of the Big Four Auditing Firms, PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) will be giving a presentation on Wednesday, November 4th at 7:30pm in 141 Giannini for our first professional event of the month. Today, PwC serves 16 industry sectors including assurance, human resources, performance improvement, and many more. They combine unique perspectives, skills, and diverse backgrounds to create innovative solutions to today's most complex business issues. This is incredible opportunity for FSBC members to see the magnitude of such a successful firm.

Celebrate Halloween a bit early with FSBC!This Wednesday, October 28th, at 7:00pm in 141 Giannini, FSBC will be holding its annual Halloween Social! A newly invented game involving blood and ping pong balls was created just for this event, so get your scare face on as we compete for best costume and candy. Frighteningly amazing prizes will be awarded to the best two costumes.
