Global Generation-China Cared

Who are we?
G2-China
Care is an organization founded by four UC Berkeley seniors in Fall 2007. We
have a two-fold mission of mentoring teen adoptees and fundraising for medical
support of orphans in China (through a national organization, China Care). Last
semester, a group of about 30 teens and UC Berkeley students got together once
a month to get to know each other through activities like a photo scavenger
hunt, a photoshoot and a bookreading. Our last activity, a big holiday
fundraiser at Barnes and Noble, helped us fundraise over $1000! Great job
everybody!
How can you get involved?
Mentors: All UC
Berkeley students are encouraged to get involved - we're always looking for
more volunteers to serve as positive role models for our teens! Please email us
at G2chapters@gmail.com if you're
interested and we will add you to our mailing list. You can get involved as
much or as little as you want - either by coming to our monthly events, making
yourself available to our teens via phone or email, and/or helping us plan
activities.
Mentees: If
you're in 7th grade or above and are a part of Families with
Children from China, N. Calif., you're in the right place! We would love for
you to join us. Check out our events for the
semester and our pictures from past events to
decide if this is something that you want to be a part of. An application form
can be found in our downloads section or by
clicking here. Of course, don't hesitate to email
us if you have any questions or concerns before you join!
