Stagetime!

Yesterday, I performed at the Mountain View Center of Performing Arts with the Bay Area Elite Dance Company. We gathered up for one more performance because we were invited to do a show as a fundraiser for the MVCPA.

Things I learned:
1) When you've been off for 6 weeks, you kinda forget some details of choreography.
2) When you stop thinking about what comes next and just flail your arms and legs a little, quite a lot of the choreography comes back. (yay for dress rehearsal!)
3) The 15 feet from backstage to changing room still takes too much time.
4) If I ever had any say in designing a venue, changing rooms need air conditioning and dehumidifiers.
5) Video camera's focus goes out of whack when the lights go from blacked out to ambient and there's nothing on stage.
6) Having a venue with crew is a lot less stressful.
7) Having a place to put stuff at the venue the night before the show is a luxury that is rare to enjoy.
8) 6 weeks isn't enough time for my body to recover from the previous season.
