House of White Pain - Poetry by Jonathan Haeber

Where I've Been, Where I'm Going

The Fruits of my Labor

You Are Here

House of White Pain

Exubertant, Exhorbitant, Wanton
Destruction, veiled in
Pedagogous instruction
Capped like a glacial peak
As heavenly as Meru

Clocking tick in
Ceaseless thirst.
Akin to a patriotic,
Neoliberalist jihad.

Carrying a stick of
Nine tails; weilding the
Strength of plated
Wafers of silicone and
Intellectual property patented

Speaking strongly,
Torching the new generation
As dispensable as four years
Terror in a polygon and on a hill
Hidden inside virtuous White
Edifices.

Blasphemy, Lies, Contrivance and
Delay all conceived on a
Colonial day.
