Changes in Technology

The pace of technological change is breathtaking, and there are few areas so hot in development at present as the movement of TV and the internet into a single media entity. This is especially true on two fronts. On the one hand, the internet is seeing explosive growth in IPTV with Microsoft and Apple competing with ISP's in order to deliver the latest IPTV solutions. On the other hand, normal TV sets aren't being left behind. Aside from digital programming, which is already becoming a normal feature of TV viewing, changes in technology have powered forward with the delivery of HDTV. Even still, both technologies are coming together, with high definition IPTV already on the cards, with every expectation that they will serve not simply the domestic markets, but also the internet business markets as well.
