IAESTE
What is IAESTE?Founded in 1948, IAESTE - the International Association for the Exchange of Students for Technical Experience, is an international network that coordinates on-the-job training for students in the fields of Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, the Natural and Physical Sciences, Architecture and Agricultural Science. Since 1950, IAESTE United States has linked thousands of America's brightest students with progressive employers in over 70 member countries. IAESTE United States is aimed at building global skills in tomorrow's technical leaders.
IAESTE is more than a work abroad exchange program, though. It is an international network focusing on leadership, knowledge, and culture-sharing. Participating in the IAESTE program is more than an opportunity to work in a foreign country; it is an international experience.

What is an IAESTE Fall Regional Conference?
IAESTE United States has Local Committees (LCs) across the United States and all LCs are assigned to a region. IAESTE currently has 4 regions: East, Midwest, Central, and Pacific. Each region hosts a regional LC Conference in early fall. IAESTE Regional LC Conferences:
- Provide LCs and their members the opportunity to develop the skills needed to successfully run an LC on their campus. The Conference may be the only opportunity for training. Conference workshops will provide training for industry relations/job-raising, leadership development, and other important IAESTE activities.
- Allow IAESTE members from the region to share experiences, network, and get to know and learn from each other.
- Set goals for the region and for individual LCs.
- Allow the hosting LC to demonstrate organizational and leadership abilities while introducing attendees to their university.
