One of the most beloved Italian actresses of her generation, Valeria Golino has demonstrated a wide range of talent as reflected early on in her career by the Best Actress Award she received at the 1986 Venice Film Festival for Storia d'amore. Valeria Golino is also well known in the United States for her starring roles in blockbusters including Rain Man, Leaving Las Vegas, and Frida.
IISA welcomes her to Berkeley to talk with the audience and to present her well-received recent movie, Respiro, for which she has received many international awards including the Grand Prix de la Semaine de la Critique and the Prix du Public at the 2002 Cannes Film Festival.
