At the start of the Spring 2005 Italian Movie Nights, for the first time organized in collaboration with Iberia, the Association of Spanish Students in Berkeley, we have chosen a film about the relationship between Italians and Spaniards. Amnèsia is a wild romp, a Tarantino-style divertissement set around a dance club in the Mediterranean island of Ibiza, from director Gabriele Salvatores, winner of the Academy Award for Mediterraneo, and whose Io non ho paura enjoyed wide acclaim last year in the USA. Italian and Spanish actors form the cast of this multilingual feature. Among them, cult actors Diego Abatantuono and Sergio Rubini, together with rising star Martina Stella, and, on the Spanish side, Antonia San Juan, unforgettable as Agrado in All About My Mother.
