The Fast and the Furious, Italian-style? Certainly the setting in the world of illegal car races looks similar, but you will be surprised how compelling story and characters are in this movie! Unanimously recognized by the critics as one of the best Italian debuts in recent years, V-Max has collected many praises and awards at the Venice Film Festival as well as in several other international venues.

Director Daniele Vicari has been known for his short movies and documentaries, one of which has been the source for this feature-length debut. This film marks also the return of one of the best young actors in Italy, Valerio Mastrandrea, together with first important roles for Cristiano Morrone and Alessia Barela, plus an actor whom our friends in Berkeley had the opportunity to meet in person last Spring at our Mini-Festival: Ivano de Matteo.
