The Human Brain: an Origamist's perspective

Here's my rendition (it only took me half an hour to build):

- Question: Doesn't your "brain" look like a trashy balled up piece of paper?
- Answer: Yes, but the pictures I took don't capture all of the intricate folds and fissures that I strategically placed on the model. Most of them resembling those in the real human brain to a certain artistic extent.
You'll have to use your mind's eye to appreciate the model from these pictures.
Trivia: I used several wet folds here and there to simulate the 'softness' and curvyness that is characteristic of neocortex.
Bird's eye view (note the central sulcus indicated via the arrow):

Trivia: This origami brain model is just as fragile as the real human brain.
Here's a real brain (the highlighted part is the central sulcus):

I'll be adding the diagram soon to allow other origami fans (and neurobiologists) to recreate this marvel of mammalian biology on paper.
