So it was a comedy night at Doc Rickett's Lab (this is a bar/club, mind you, and not really a chemistry research lab) in Monterey, and I finally had the pleasure of meeting and hanging out with Silvia and Ali (pronounced "alley", as in "alley cat," and not "alí" as in "prince ali" -- shady disney reference notwithstanding), two of Sherylen's friends that I had heard so much about.

But of more interest to most of you out there, this occasion also marked the first visual record of me wearing my new, snazzy, rimless glasses complete with anti-reflective coating!

Pretty snazzy, eh? The poofy hair on my head is quite a riot too, courtesy of the ocean breeze that never goes away in Monterey.
