...and being the typical Chinese Berkeley student that he is, the celebration takes place at a quaint Chinese restaurant in Berkeley. Specifically, it's at Sun Hong Kong ("new Hong Kong" in Cantonese, perhaps?), arguably one of the better restaurants near the university. Anyhow, in total, there were about 25 people: people from Hillside in '98-'99 that Eddie knew, people from his current ('99-2000) floor in unit 2, and still more people. Eddie really gets around. He's a popular guy.

Now the really cool thing was that as we arrived and walked toward the stairs leading upstairs, Ted and I noticed the ericlui sitting at a table downstairs with a bunch of other asian people. Anyhow, that was that.
Once we all got there, one table bought Eddie two beers (since he can legally drink now). With each sip, he got redder and redder, and began to forget how to walk. He circulated between the three tables we were at, mooching food until there was none left to mooch. And he kept drinking his beer....

Then it came time when Ted Tracy and I gave him the little gift we bought him. It was delivered in a bag from Bath & Body Works, cuz it was the only thing we had at the time. I sure hope he didn't think we bought him a soap or something...

In the end, all was good, Eddie was pleasantly buzzed, and there was cake. Cake! Yummy...sugar....fattening....drunken....mooo.
