As has become an annual tradition, I moved my stuff out of an
apartment and into another one. This time, it wasn't because of a
stinky dog, or because of moving closer to campus, or even to move
home for a long internship, but rather, because I couldn't stay where
I was. Indeed, it was fun and insane madness all in one. In between
the garlic, the milk consumption, and the tomato sandwiches, I managed
to get my new room all set up, the former-dsl server gimping around
now as a cable modem router, and of course, I paid rent too. It was
just a typical move from place to place. Of course, thrown into the
mix were wandering the streets for free furniture, a mass shopping
trip to Safeway (my best friend), and of course, a crazy trip to Ikea
(and lots of subsequent fun putting together the Ikea furniture). But
otherwise, it was nothing out of the ordinary....

Here's a final shot of a (mostly) empty loft
from my old place. This is the infamous loft that would always be 10
degrees warmer than the downstairs area, but it had all this space...

Here's a shot from the inside of my room out
toward the hall...notice the LOUD green clock from Ikea, the
Tux-The-Linux-Penguin I still have on my shelf, and of course, the
spiffy new desk (also from Ikea). Quick quiz: how many penguins do
you see in this picture?

And here's a shot from the door looking into the
room toward the corner where the bed is (the other corner is bare and
will only show a closet door, and is therefore uninteresting). Notice
how I have a spiffy stereo stand on wheels...hehehe....

Here's a warning sign posted on the gate
to my new apartment complex's garage. Now isn't that the most
interesting picture - a stick figure getting smashed by a gate.
hehehe...
