Roy's a cool dude. He had all that bubble water back in the day of Norton Summer and even went to high school with such people as the tchen and Calvin, my switched-at-birth-twin. Of course, I didn't even know he was in Berkeley until Lily sent off an email from her roommate's computer to a few of us saying so. So yeah, food!

It was the Thai House (across the street from the Rescomp Office), which supposedly was the same place the last Norton Summer dinner was held (while I was holed up in rescommie brainwashing...er...training sessions), and there were four of us. What else can I say? Oh yeah - here are some shots from the dcam. Since I wasn't nearly as adventurous as Roy, I didn't ask someone else to take a picture of the four of us, so you'll get it in two doses:

On top: Holming, Lily, and me (this shot taken by Roy...who actually knows how to physically zoom in); underneath: Roy, Holming, and Lily. Lighting could've been better, but oh well.

The first thing to notice is that Lily got new glasses frames. Can't you tell??? Supposedly, she was allergic to the material that made up her old ones or something.

After that, I made a pathetic attempt to figure out why Lily's machine was entering a reboot loop. That was a few hours of taking things apart, randomly guessing and checking with RAM configurations, and nothing worked. So I taught Lily how to use Rescomp's Helpdesk. So it's been fixed. Anyhow, what I really liked is the excessive use of electricity in Lily & Katie's dorm room:

Mmmmm...icicle lights. And no, this doesn't violate any Hall Policies.....nor does it waste electricity leading to rolling blackouts or anything...

In the end, it was just another day. Got to spend time with people I haven't seen in person for awhile, and got to revisit the ol' dorm life and cult(ure) with all its madnesses....take the following for example:
