are you sure?
Current Events: I'm always on the look out for new, interesting news events and articles. I read everything from US/World headlines to Sports/Entertainment headlines, and even News of the Weird. In fact, I'd say I spend more of my online time reading the news than I do chatting. I recently discovered RSS feeds, so now I can get news headlines from people's blogs and other sources such as Howstuffieswork and Slashdot.

Sports: I admit, I'm not too good with sports, but I am always trying to play new ones. I've played basketball, frisbee, tackle football, touch football, golf, table tennis, foosball, soccer, running, and probably some other things. I am pretty bad at all of them, especially tackle football. I usually get carried back to my own end zone if I try running. As far as spectator sports go, I am a fan of the San Jose Sharks, California Golden Bears, and some Winter Olympic events.

Computer Science: My favorite topic in this area is definitely sensor network systems. I've only been working on it for one semester, but it has been really exciting. This past semester, I worked on TinyOS project related to calculating an escape path out of a building in the event of an emergency. Next semester I hope to work on extending the TinyOS VM and/or using it in trees (green ones).

Bad Poems:I like writing bad poems in my free time. I don't really archive my work though I suppose I should. I have a three page poem about Beowulf, Grendel, and Wiglaf somewhere on my computer. Ask me for my other bad works (assuming I have them). Here's one I use for my voice mail greeting:

 Kaisen cannot answer the phone
You know what to do at the tone
 A message you leave
 He shall soon receive
And call you back when he's alone

Blogging:I used to have a blog hosted on a different domain, but it was attacked by spammers, so I temporarily shut it down. Xanga is also useful because I can see what my friends are up to in a passive way since everyone is just so busy with life these days. There's no particular theme on my xanga, just whatever happens to be on my mind.
