class
Thursday, May 26th, 2005this random student starts going off on a pretty (annoying) long tangent, repeating the quote “an eye for an eye will make the world go blind” like some kind of broken record player. the quote’s right actually. revenge isn’t ours to take. but the thing is “eye for an eye” means something completely different. it means that if a person injures another, he should pay that person compensation for the injury, make up, and make peace. it’s a tiny little detail, but the thing is all these self-righteous, super-intellectual ideas for keeping nonexistent peaces and making imaginary peace treaties not worth the paper they’re written on, all these fantasies have foundations full of these little holes and end up in people’s bodies torn with the shrapnel and bullets that slipped through them. it’s funny thinking back, when i bought all the bs indymedia, kpfa, and npr said. all these enlightened people aren’t any more enlightened then the people who buy what cnn and fox news says. freaken a, it’d be really nice if some people actually did more research and spoke about things they actually knew, related to, and understood, if these people took a moment figure out what all their metaphors are based on, before projecting their utopian world views from their secure, rich, liberal neighborhoods to parts of the world where their little pet projects will only end up in more murder. whatevers though, not like i’m not guilty of this either.
by the way, and this is a mad crazy miracle. seriously. i have no clue how this happened. baruch hashem. i actually passed math, and not only that but with a decent grade. i’m still baffled. but mad thankful. now i’m actually thinking. man, one more class? maybe the minor is worth it? maybe later… man… this is a trip.
