finally remembered the quote
so at the dinner a guy asks me, “you study cog sci. so what makes an idiot?”
i wasn’t prepared for this but after like an hour or two–too late to reply–the answer came:
there’s this yiddish saying,
“a wise man knows what he says, a fool says what he knows”
i guess an idiot is someone who doesn’t know what he’s talking about
i’ve found myself talking too much again and acting the last two categories. almost keeping quiet when needed but still need just a little more control. just a few more reflections….. ooooooh and just a little more sleep! i think i might drop spanish. grr… this makes me sad… but i don’t think i can keep up and stay healthy. just not enough time.
