Discussion questions:
1) What cultural barriers do you see between the ethnic groups in your communities?
2) Why do you think it often takes disasters to unite people, to show them that they have commonalities?
3) What changes occurred in these communities?

1) Why is it that the numbers of husband on wife murders is increasing in within the hmong community?
2) What do you think contributes to such triggers?
3) Can we do anything to stop this?

Announcements

LASR Scholarship:
Keo – coordinator, does anyone want to join me?
Will send out application to high schools with Laotian student population across the state
Post application on website and contact other organizations
Table during Cal Day and inform attendees about scholarship – I can’t table Cal Day, so need helpers
Decide on scholarship winner early this summer
