Watched Bloc Party with bg and his brother. They were great live. The audience had this contagious energy.

I had dinner with Crissy and bg at the Ferry Building. We managed to get bg to leave his office for a quick break during busy season. Originally we wanted to try Tadich Grill, one of the oldest restaurants in San Francisco, but they're closed on Sundays. We settled on Taylor's Automatic Refresher because of its proximity and it was a nice evening to be eating outdoors. I was really disappointed that they didn't have Ahi Tuna Burgers left.

I watched the Eifman Ballet at Zellerbach.

They performed Anna Karenina. I liked how it incorporated modern elements with traditional ballet. It was choreographed so well though parts of the ending were disturbing with hallucinogenic images of hell prior to Anna Karenina's suicide.

And then I read this review and thought I know nothing about ballet. =p

Where can I get my hair thermal reconditioned in the Bay Area? When I was in Taiwan it cost about $80. I know in the States it can go up to $500.

What should I do for my birthday? 20 days to decide. I wanna do Afternoon Tea at Lovejoy's Tea Room with the girls.

I love the Japanese pancakes with red bean filling. They're called dora-yaki.

Today was museum day. It's been awhile since I visited museums in SF. I was really excited about two exhibitions:

Masterpieces of French Jewelry at the Legion of Honor. I like jewelry from the art nouveau period with its human form and mythological motifs. There were a few items that belonged to Elizabeth Taylor, who's known for her love affair with jewels.

Vivienne Westwood 36 Years in Fashion at the de Young. Here are some more images from the exhibit:

And here is an example of her exquisite tailoring:

She had so many suits with interesting folds and details.

For lunch, I grabbed a provolone and pesto sandwich in the Inner Richmond from Toy Boat Dessert Cafe and snacked on egg puffs from Genki across the street.

Agnes and some of her friends came over to make peanut butter cupcakes. Here's the recipe. I still have left over whipped frosting. It tastes like truffles! However, one tablespoon of heavy whipping cream is 5 grams of fat. Oy!

bg and I had brunch in Potrero Hill. I chose Hazel's Kitchen but I didn't realize that it was more of a deli with only food available to go. They have a small table just outside their door though and Farley's is just next door if you need some drinks. I had a unique type of quiche made with tofu, not sure if I would order it again. It was a nice day though to be outdoors. I got to watch the cutest bulldog puppy. It was so clumsy and adorable. I think his pal, an older dog was getting jealous of all of the attention the little pupster was getting.

After six years, I finally made it back to Joe's Ice Cream for some yummy ice cream goodness. We used to go all the time in college. I love their mocha fudge. It's definitely one of the best places to get ice cream in SF. Late afternoon, I went on another tour with the girls to Scharffen Berger. The last time I visited was for my birthday two years ago. Mmm, chocolate. I'm a bigger fan of good milk chocolate than dark chocolate which can be too bitter for my liking. I bought a special edition chocolate bar for bg. Afterwards, we had dinner at HaNa Korean and I got a yummy stone bowl rice dish.

I got to zoom down on the awesome Seward Street slides. They're located on Seward between 19th and Douglas. Be sure to bring some cardboard and someone recommended wax paper so that you go faster down the slide. Sooo much fun and the view is gorgeous at the top. Sigh, love love love night views of the city. All the guys got hurt; must be something to do with their size. Heehee, too bad for them. bg said he got some air and hurt his tailbone. I lost my shoe at one point but had a blast racing people down to the bottom.

I signed up for the Nike Women's Half Marathon. Time to start running. Race is on Sunday, October 21, 2007.
