I watched the Giant's game with bg and Raaj. They lost against
the Arizona Diamondbacks. 2-8. Raaj was commenting how he would
never let his kids eat strange colored icies. I thought it was funny
that the next day, the Chronicle published a photo that went against
Raaj's thinking. These kids look like they're having a blast.

I watched the Editors, Monsters are Waiting, and Stellastar
at the Mezzanine with Yusing.
Booo to extremely tall people.

Check out the really creative student
gallery for the Academy of Art - School of Advertising.

Yummy Asian desserts.

Did you ever hear a great song on the radio but didn't know
who sang it? Check this out then: http://www.yes.com

Green

Pretty views.

*Gasp* I finally visited the Stanford campus, enemy territory,
for the first time in years. I hate to admit but I was really impressed
by their museum, the Cantor
Arts Center, the never ending galleries. It was funny, everytime
we thought we were done with seeing all the galleries, we would
find another one that we hadn't browsed through yet. The Rodin sculpture
garden was awesome especially the Gates of Hell door. We had dinner
at Amber
in Mountain View. We ordered vegetable samosas, naan stuffed with
nuts and raisin paste, and the Butter Chicken.

I had a lunch at Zachary's with Esther and Heidi for a mini
Eden Gardens reunion. Mmm, it's been awhile since I've had Chicago-style
pizza; we ordered the Zachary Special. After hearing about Bittersweet
Cafe from John and Leslie, I really wanted to try it out. Heidi
and I had a Bittersweet Hot Chocolate made with dark chocolate.
They have an entire wall filled with all sorts of chocolates from
around the world. They have information on what country the chocolate
is from and what percentage cocoa. Heehee, kinda funny how they're
trying to make premium chocolates similar to wine where they list
what kind of notes, tones and flavors the chocolates have.

I watched Audrye
Sessions on Lower Sproul. Tons of great local bands lately.
I had dinner at Perry's Downtown with bg but was disappointed by
their French Onion Soup, way too salty. The fried chicken was good
though. Afterwards, we watched Squid and the Whale, a funny movie
about a way dysfunctional family.

Even though I adore chocolate, I'm not fond of chocolate
ice cream or chocolate cake. It's too sweet. Anyway, I was craving
Ben and Jerry's and they were on sale at Albertson's. A lot of Ben
and Jerry's flavors have just way too much stuff in them; it's overwhelming.
I finally settled on a pint of Mint Chocolate Cookie - Peppermint
Ice Cream with Oxford Creme Cookies. I just had a spoonful, yum
yum so divine. Now I'm know why bg didn't want to share.

Oooh, Vik's was recenty featured in the Chronicle.
I wanna try dosas and bhatura.

Despite the cupcake
craze that is going on, I'm not that fond of cupcakes, though
I did wait 30 minutes in pouring rain waiting for Magnolia Bakery
to open when I was in NYC last October. Frosting is just way too
sugary and sweet. However, I have to admit they look so yummy and
tempting but after I bite, it's always so disappointing. Anyway,
we had a cupcake run at the office and got cupcakes from Love
at First Bite. I had a yummy cupcake called Bunny Love - carrot
cupcakes with pecans and pineapple, frosted with classic cream cheese
frosting. I don't mind cream cheese frostings; they're not
overly sweet like buttercream frosting.

If I visit again, I wanna try these three delish sounding cupcakes:
- ginger babycakes - moist gingerbread cake topped with limoncello-cream
cheese frosting
- pumpkin bliss - pumpkin spice cupcakes wedded in bliss with
cream cheese frosting
- matcha green tea – a delicate green tea cake made with
ceremonial matcha tea, topped with matcha-infused whipped cream

Hehe, this is cool, a tricycle
race down the crooked Lombard Street. Stop raining
already!!!

Happy Easter. I saw this book at the bookstore, so funny
and clever - Peeps : A Candy-Coated Tale by Mark Masyga and Martin
Ohlin. Haha, I like the yearbook section.

Btw, I won the bet! I was good and didn't shop for clothing, accessories,
or shoes. Now I get to play dress up and have afternoon tea. What
are some good afternoon tea places? Here is what I've found around
San Francisco:
04.15.06
bg and I visited the The Ferry Building where he looked for
a good birthday present for his dad. We ended up at Cowgirl
Creamery. I bought some pretty bread from Acme Bread that was
shaped like a vine. We found a cheeseboard at Sur la Table; I've
seen some cool ones made out of old wine barrels. We watched Robots
but I didn't really like it. It's weird, there aren't many movies
lately that I really really enjoyed. I made bbq chicken calzones
with red onions, tomatoes, and sharp cheddar.
04.14.06
I had dinner with Katie and her friend Jack at Koryo in Berkeley.
I really like their zuchini pancakes. Afterwards, bg and I watched
Thank
You for Smoking, which was quite entertaining and amusing.
04.08.06
I explored around the outer Richmond while bg got his hair
cut. I was craving for for spam musubi and found a Hawaiian place
but it wasn't very good. However, there's a yummy boba place nearby
that makes their milkshakes with Mitchell's ice cream. When bg was
finally done we had a quick lunch at Chino's Taqueria and bg wolfed
down two carnita tacos.

Afterwards, we got to test out bg's awesome new camera at the Legion
of Honor and Sutro Baths. We shopped a little around Union Square
and since it's birthday season had dinner at Harris'
with bg's parents.

According to yelp, here are some of the best steakhouses in San
Francisco:
- Boboquivari's
- Harris' Steakhouse
- Izzy's Steaks & Chops
- Ruth's Chris Steak House

bg got free Giants tickets to the opening night game but
we had to deal with a 2 hour rain delay. We got to watch the groundskeepers
sweep off all the water from the earlier downpours. bg got to try
out action shots
with his camera. I hope I get to catch some Oakland A's games later
this season, heehee, lots of cuties. Sadly, their 2006
commericals aren't as funny as the 2004
ones. I wonder if they've changed ad agencies. Huston Street
is so cute and I like how he sticks out his tongue while he pitches.

The new Bloomingdales
in San Francisco is almost done. I'm really excited that they preserved
the 19th century dome from the old Emporium. There's going to be
a Beard Papa once the mall opens! This article
lists some of the new tenants and this article
shows a diagram of the building.
04.05.06
I found this
awesome website that has all the text from the Calvin and Hobbes
comics. Heehee, I found it trying to figure out if Hobbes though
he was a particular type of tiger besides stuffed. =p
04.04.06
I spent a long time looking for affordable cooking classes
in San Francisco for bg's birthday present and I really like the
wide varieties of menus with First
Class Cooking. Let me know if you're interested in any of the
classes.
04.03.06
bg got me two books for my birthday:
- Marley & Me: Life and Love with the World's Worst Dog by
John Grogan
- Son of a Witch by Gregory Maguire
Heehee, this article
mentions the Marley book I got and questions if puppies are the
new prozac. It also cites one of my favorite new websites: Cute
Overload. Meg Frost, the founder of Cute Overload lives in Potrero
Hill, my new favorite area in SF. ;p

The 2006 Top
100 Bay Area Restaurants according to the Chronicle was just
released. I've been to:
- Amber India
- Chow
- Foreign Cinema
- House of Prime Rib
- Koi Palace
- Lulu
- Yank Sing
