I watched Eva Yerbabuena & Ballet Flamenco
at Zellerbach. It was amazing; flamenco is so sexy and exciting.
I loved the costumes and how rhythmic flamenco is. It kinda makes
me want to take up ballroom dancing again.

Hmmm, I went to the BAP Family Olympics at Manor Bowl. Sigh,
I used to be decent at bowling but now I don't know. Anyway, it's
always fun catching up with people. Yay, people liked my pinup girl
bag. Sigh, I need to stop buying trendy bags though and look for
dependable classics.
One more month until my birthday and a week of spring break. What
shall I do? C wants me to visit her in Socal. $39 tickets with Southwest.
Ponder ponder. Anyway, I already know what my birthday gift to myself
is gonna be. I'm gonna fix my broken camera lens so I can start
shooting again. Bleh, and hopefully I'll get clear, sharp photos
now.
2.27.04
I had a Spotted Cow dinner at Buca
di Beppo. It was good to meet the new pledges and see fellow
alums Cheryl and Matthew. Lucky Matthew is going to Ibiza in June.
=p While I was waiting at Haas I ran into Davey who used to visit
Channing House tons. Funny how I keep running into random people.
Anyway, Davey is applying to med schools and working at a research
lab on campus.

Byron says some people learn to board better by themselves.
Hmmm, mebbe I should stop procrastinating and learn how to snowboard
before the season ends. Plus, I can just borrow Crissy's gear. My
problem is that whenever people invite me to go, they already know
how to board but I've never have before so it's intimidating.
2.25.04
I assume that anyone who looks pretty young in my classes
is probably just a few years older than me. However, this past week,
I've learned that I have poor judgment at guessing people's ages.
Turns out the guy I'm working on my project with is 33 . . . eep,
and I thought he was like 28. The guy's practically a decade older
than me. Anyway, and I got to start looking for that ring on the
left finger. There was this Japanese guy in one of my classes and
he was doing a presentation and mentioned how stressful it was taking
care of his baby and I taken aback, thinking he's married and he
has a kid? Eep. I think it's just a novel idea to me since in college
everyone I knew was unmarried and my age and work is the same.
2.24.04
Woohoo, I have DSL again. Finally, and boo to SBC for messing
up on our order in the first place! And boo to them for not telling
me that I have to reregister my login and password and making me
think there was something wrong with the modem or router. I must
have spent a total of three hours with customer service. Hsss.
Anyway, In a way, it's been good, I've wasted less time goofing
around. However, it's a bit of a nuisance when you need to do research
for your papers.
2.23.04
It's human nature to make someone jealous, especially if
that someone is your ex. Hmmm, I've noticed guys like saying things
like how they finally found the "one" and broadcasting
it, knowing very well their ex will find out, especially if that
ex was the one who ended the relationship. I just hate seeing my
friends get hurt though, especially friends that have huge hearts
and lots of compassion. Cheer up C, you deserve so much better.
2.22.04
I have a confession to make. I'm a shopaholic. I was taking
an inventory of my wardrobe and I have over forty dresses. And when
it comes to little black dresses, I have five cute ones. Anyway,
I think the volume of my dresses is attributed to the fact that
I always show my mom cute styles I like from Vogue or clothing catalogs.
And then she'll always bring home a pretty dress if she goes shopping.
Strappy dresses with form fitting bodices and hemlines that hit
around my knee are my favorites.
2.21.04
I want this Fleur-de-lis Hook Rack because it's pretty enough
to adorn on my wall and I can hang all my purses from the hooks.
The twisty vines and antique look is what caught my eye. Now to
search for an inexpensive version though this one isn't that pricey,
only $20. I've seen plenty of the wine rack and candle holder versions
but no hook racks yet.

2.20.04
Tall people shouldn't really complain about gaining weight.
When you're barely 5'1" and gain a few pounds, it's a lot more
noticeable but more forgiving for tall people. Bleh, I'm getting
bored with my track workout even though I like how I can run to
it in ten minutes. I usually have better workouts in the morning
when I have more energy. Meanwhile, my runner sister just told me
she can run a mile in 6.5 minutes. Eeegah, I could never do that.
2.17.04
Having a huge backyard is awesome. At night, I can actually
see the stars with nothing obstructing my view. Right after sunset,
after all the pinks and oranges have disappeared, I'm mesmerized
by how the sky is this deep, intense blue.

The bad thing about moving is not being able to find a single
thing. What happened to my Harry Potter book and my Mamma Mia tickets?
And the search goes on.
2.14.04
What? It's Valentine's Day? I didn't even notice. Being DSL-less
and barely watching a hour of TV each week and preoccupied with
4 midterms and 4 papers will do that to you.
2.13.04
Mmm, I've forgotten how yummy Strada Bianca Mochas are. Too
bad the caffeine makes me bounce of the walls.
2.12.04
I had lunch with Katie at the Rincon Center. I've been there
before for dim sum at Yank Sing but I had no idea there was a food
court there. Anyway, I had a great time catching up with Katie.
It turns out we've read a lot of similar books (and I was an avid
reader before grad school started, I think I finished a book a week).
Thanks Katie for the comfy pj's and lotion. Also, I ran into Yusing,
who also works in SOMA for Gap Inc, on our way to the Rincon Center.
Very random, because I haven't seen him in almost two years.
2.11.04
So I've been watching this documentary called Medici:
Godfathers of the Renaissance. It's actually quite good, especially
if you're interested in history, politics and art. What really drew
me to the documentary was that it took place in Florence and the
fact that the Medici were patrons for many famous artists including
Leonardo, Michelangelo, Raphael and Botticelli.

2.09.04
I need to learn how to hold my tongue. Sometimes, I know
exactly what to say to hurt someone. And it's tempting because you
want them to hurt just as much as they hurt you. It's not the right
thing to do though and I'm glad that I usually wait until my emotions
have simmered down. And then I realize, it's not worth it. I'm better
than this.
2.08.04
It's always shocking when you discover a horrible side of
someone you thought you knew well. I'm sitting here feeling totally
unsettled. I don't trust my judgment in people's character anymore.
I'd like to think that I tend to give people the benefit of doubt
and try to see their good side. However, I just dunno anymore. Oh
well, the past is in the past, nothing much I can do now.
2.07.04
I had yummy dim sum with a lot of lovely BAP girls at East
Ocean in Emeryville. I was extremely pleased; it's difficult to
get so many people together for a meal. I had a chance to catch
up with Louise, Sandy, and Katie. At first I was wary of eating
at East Ocean because of the bad online reviews. However, lunch
came out to $12 per person, very reasonable, and we ate tons of
stuff! In addition, there's a gorgeous view of the bay from the
restaurant. Turns out it's a popular wedding banquet venue.

Afterwards, Louise. Sandy, and I got some very delicious Hagan
Daaz Mocha Almond Crunch bars and watched Under the Tuscan Sun.
I wanna go back to Europe again! Who wants to go? I'm jealous that
Louise can go jogging right along the water front. Heehee, you know
me and pretty views of the water and SF.
2.06.04
I watched the Merce Cunningham performance at Zellerbach.
Boo, student rush tickets are now $10 instead of $5. I realized
I don't like any kind of modern dance. Even though Cunningham is
a very respected dance choreographer, I don't get modern interpretative
dance. It's not tangible enough and I was struggling to appreciate
everything. Also, I hate being short! Gah, there were three tall
people sitting in front of me so I pretty much missed the first
half. I've learned my lesson, move as soon as possible if there
are available seats on the left or right orchestra.
2.05.04
It's time to say good-bye. Too bad everything was so chaotic
last minute, no time to reflect.
2.02.04
So I've been running a lot at the track the past two weeks
and I always bring my walkman. However, my headphones keep on breaking
on me. I think I've gone through four headphones already. Does this
happen to anyone? What's going on? Does anyone have any recommendations
on a reliable pair of headphones. I've used Panasonic, Sony, and
Maxwell.
2.01.04
I watched the Dance Theatre of Harlem at Zellerbach and it
was awesome. I loved the bright costumes in the second half and
how jazzy it was. The first half was more traditional and classical
in terms of dance (i.e. ballet with a modern twist). If they're
ever in town again, I would recommend going.
So the show wasn't selling any student rush tickets and I had to
debate whether to BART all the way back home for nothing plus a
waste of two hours or pay $26 for a top notch seat. I decided to
pay the $26 and it was worth every cent.
