I officially hate packing and moving massive amounts of stuff. On the flip side, my new room is almost twice the size of my old bedroom.

Favorite Songs of the Moment:

Death Cab For Cutie - The New Year
Metric - Combat Baby
Rufio - White Lights
Yeah Yeah Yeahs - Maps

Soundcheck is awesome; I love listening to new music, perfect for a girl that gets bored easily. Happy Birthday Crissy, tsk tsk tsk, kissing European waiters.

The Michaels at Union Landing is huge; everytime I'm there I end up walking around for at least an hour. I ended up buying an expensive stamp pad (Color Box Petal Point Pigment Option Pad in Mosaic) and fabric dye to darken my blue jeans.

Happy Birthday Mama. I bought my mom this cool book called Vogue Sewing. When my mom was in her 20s, she used to make her own clothes for fun.

I just realized that recently a handful of people have asked for relationship advice. I dunno how good I am with relationship stuff (my specialty seems to be with breakups, things to do with a significant other, and jewelry) but I suppose I'm a good listener.

RETAIL THERAPY: Urban Outfitters Black and Orange Pinstrip Skirt

I've been eyeing this skirt for half a year, waiting patiently for it to go on sale. Woot, patience does pay off. I love how the skirt is all deconstructed looking with an uneven hemline.

RETAIL THERAPY: 3 American Eagle Wool Sweaters

I totally live in wool sweater during the winter and I love how comfy these sweaters look. Whenever I find a style I really like, I tend buy multiples in different colors so I got one in burgundy, navy, and pink. Hmmm, I think I have all the colors I want now for my wool sweater collection. Shut up Mike, I don't care if they make me look like a Granny. They keep me warm and healthy. I haven't been seriously sick for over a year.

I was complaining to Karmont how I didn't know any good places to eat in Hayward and he told me about Val's. Val's is a 1950s style diner that serves superb burgers and milkshakes. The Chronicle mentioned it as one of the best hamburger places in the bay area. Turns out everyone knows about Val's except for me. Bleh, and I've lived in Hayward for 22 years! It is a popular hangout spot for athletes to chill with teammates after games and practices according to my little runner sister Windy.

So I had to try out this place and grabbed Noel to eat lunch there. I had a huge cookies and cream milkshake and a steak sandwich. I was sooo full. There's limited parking and the place is always crowded, so plan accordingly.

RETAIL THERAPY: 2 Urban Outfitter shirts, $3 each

I found this cute pink shirt decorated with pearls and lace. It's a bit reminiscent of the 80s but with the right combination I can pull of a vintagey look. I also got a black shirt with lace trimming.

Geoff and I decided to visit two museums in SF today, the Museum of Modern Art and the Asian Art Museum. For the first Tuesday of each month, most of the major museums in SF are free to the public. MOMA had an excellent exhibit on Diane Arbus, a famous photographer. A lot of her subjects were odd and slightly bizarre. Some photos were social commentary; for example poking fun at high society old people, all dressed up but looking more ridiculous than dignified. I liked the pretty snuff bottles at Asian Art Museum.

We had lunch at Steps of Rome in North Beach. Haha, my friend said that he would never take a date there cuz all the European waiters flirt with pretty customers.

RETAIL THERAPY: Bath and Body Works Lotions and products

Bath and Body Works was having it's major annual sale. I bought three bottles of body cream: Green Tea & Cucumber Essence, Night Blooming Jasmine, and Plumeria. For my mom, I got a bottle of Skin Renewal + Anti-Aging Body Lotion. For Crissy, I got Lavender Essential Oil to help reduce scars.

I had a chill new year's eve. I've never done anything special for it. For once, me and my sisters had a truce and weren't mad at eat other. We played card games and scrabble, listening to music from Live 105. I also took a nice, relaxing hot bath. I think baths are my new favorite past time. Can't wait to try out the Jacuzzi in our new house.
