I had lunch with my sisters and mom at Thai House in Berkeley.
My mom has never tried pad thai, silly. I'm making an extra effort
to indulge my parents who never ever seem to treat themselves. I
bought Evita tickets for them because it was the only Broadway show
they saw when they were living in New York City 25 years ago.
Afterwards, we watched Cirque
Eloize's performance of Rain. Cirque Eloize is a nouveau circus
with origins in Quebec. The show had a childish, reminiscent, story
book quality to it, especially the part where one of the acrobats
was laughing with glee and bouncing on this swing that flung her
three stories high. They actually made it rain on the Zellerbach
stage at the end of the show with all the performers slipping and
sliding and splashing in water. Heehee, don't you love running around
in rain? Rain was similar to Nomade, which I saw two years ago.
Anyway, I always enjoy watching the comedy, the acrobats, and carefully
planned artistic concepts.

For those who care about great produce, Berkeley
Bowl is trying to expand and open a second store about a mile
away.

background)

If you're interested in the production of chocolate
. . . mmm. I often use Guittard chocolate chips when I make cookies.
Bon appetit!

All along Addison
Street in Berkeley are poems engraved in panels on the sidewalk.
It's known as the Addison
Street Poetry Walk. I like discovering these random finds.

I saw this awhile back
ago but it always makes me laugh. You'll only get it if you work
for a software company.

I really like songs that have a piano accompaniment in the
background, especially if the song is in a minor key. There's just
something really alluring and haunting with that. Some examples
are Straylight Run's Existentialism On Prom Night or Evanescence's
Hello. Actually, any song with a piano accompaniment suits me fine,
like KC and JoJo's All My Life (which I'm learning to play on the
piano right now).

Mmm, I addicted to my little container of solid perfume from
Fragonard. Lune de Miel. Why is my perfume called honeymoon? Weird.
Anyway, it smells a little bit like baby powder. I'm gonna try to
buy some other fragrances off EBay because due to the pathetic exchange
rates right now I don't see myself visiting France anytime soon.

I like the pretty blue Nalgene bottle I stole from my sister.
Now I'm guaranteed to get my daily requirement of eight cups of
water.

Pretty chocolates, much too pretty to devour.

Man, people I know are starting to get engaged. Bleh, meanwhile
I remain single. I shall start hunting for guys after school ends.

I don't mind waking up at 5:30 am to get to work at 7:00
am, thought it's a bit disconcerting that it's still dark outside
when I walk into work. Anyway, the commute to work is a lot faster
in the mornings. I hate crowds; boo to crowds.

I had to give up on black and white photography this semester.
It was either that or sleep. I'll just have to wait patiently for
August to come around.

Do you ever wonder what stores look for when you sell back
old

I've resorted to using my ATM card to scrap frost off my
windshield. It actually works pretty well.

Those small bite sized Lindt chocolate truffles are the most
addicting things ever! Bleh.

LOL. Having short hair gives me crazy bed hair in the mornings.
Thank goodness for bobby pins.

Ten weeks and counting.

Gama-Go, is a SF-based company
that designs clothing, toys, and accessories and the Chronicle recently
wrote about them.
I really like clean and simple designs that are unique. They also
have an anime vibe to their designs. Anyway, I like the ninja kitty
and the tiger lilly characters. You can find their products in the
Haight and in Japantown.

No resolutions. Well, maybe stop being so neurotic.
