An interesting article
about handmade violins. I have one, too. Unfortunately it's getting
dusty in my closet.

A cool article about Yoshimoto

Here's an article about the growing popularity of Happy
Hour. There's some good recommendations for people who want
to save a few bucks and get a nice buzz. Mmm, sorry for those who
work late and can't really enjoy Happy Hour. Morton's steakhouse
on Union Square offers free filet mignon sandwiches during 5 - 7
pm. Spenger's has appetizers for $1. 95 including a cheeseburger
with fries.

I'm so impressed but how young this kid
is and how passionate he is about cooking.

Heehee, this Hello Kitty toaster is cute; I like how it toasts
an image onto the bread. Hello Kitty is one of those pop culture
icons that is ubiquitous world wide. Here's an interesting article
about kawaii
culture. Recently, a book about Hello Kitty and consumerism
was published called: Hello
Kitty: The Remarkable Story of Sanrio and the Billion Dollar Feline
Phenomenon.

Yes, I was once guilty of hoarding all these useless Sanrio products.
However, to my defense, I used to get them as gifts from relatives
and friends and rarely bought items with my meager allowance. I
have to admit, out of all the Sanrio things you could purchase,
I still really like the pencils. They're good for sketching and
I like how they write all dark and smudgy. Otherwise I've moved
on to techy toys and clothing as guilty spending pleasures.

Helen
Fielding who wrote Bridget Jones has a new book. I dunno, chick
lit was fun to read at first. Laughing at the misadventures of single
women and their funny outlook on work, relationships, etc. However,
it's all kinda the same now, very predictable and kinda annoying.

I hate people who tailgate me when I'm already going above
the speed limit.

I just bought a whole bunch of postage stamps online. They
have cute stamps that say "I love you" with valentine
candy hearts and Disney stamps.

By the time I go to bed, I'm exhausted from a long day of
work and class; I can barely keep my eyes opened. Brushing my teeth
seems like such a chore. Not anymore though; I love my new electronic
toothbrush and how it takes so little effort to clean my teeth.
Haha, I know I sound so lazy. Don't forget to floss!

Oooh, Crissy introduced me to soft, sheer T-shirts. I love
how they feel, so comfy, and their perfect for hot, sunny days.

Marlon
Brando passed away on Thursday. He was a brilliant actor.
I still need to watch a Streetcar Named Desire, the movie where
he screams Stella to Vivien Leigh's character. Here are some famous
quotes from his movies:
"I coulda had class. I coulda been a contender. I coulda been somebody,
instead of a bum, which is what I am, let's face it."
-- On the Waterfront
"I'm gonna make him an offer he can't refuse."
-- The Godfather

Oooh, there's a fancy smancy restaurant in my neck of the
woods. Neumanali is a new
restaurant in Hayward that serves California cuisine; one of the
cooks is a former cook at Farallon in SF. Here's a review
from the Chronicle. I wanna try the creme brulee.

I'm writing my finance paper on Urban
Outfitters. =D Many of my friends are not surprised. I love
the store, as well as it's sister store Anthropologie. I think both
stores offer unique, vintagey, edgy clothing and other related products.
"If you're a metropolitan hipster, Urban Outfitters has your
outfit. The firm's roughly 60 namesake stores -- mainly in the US,
but also in Canada and the UK -- sell casual clothes, accessories,
gifts, housewares, and shoes. The company chases older women (30-
to 45-year-old suburbanites) with more than 50 Anthropologie stores.
Urban Outfitters' Free People wholesale division distributes clothing
(including the Free People and bdg labels), housewares, and gift
items to more than 1,100 specialty stores. Chairman and president
Richard Hayne, who founded Urban Outfitters as The Free People's
Store in 1970, owns about 42% of the company."
