I watched the Producers
with Crissy. Heehee, it was a bizarre and funny musical. It was
kinda sad how empty the theatre was and they already canceled two
weeks of the show. Anyway, there were a lot of show business inside
jokes that I missed. It was funny how the producer had to sleep
with all these old grannies in order to get funding to produce his
Broadway show. Some Broadway shows that I still wanna see are Hairspray
and Wicked.

I went to the bap family cook off. Sigh, I haven't gone to
many events the past year that I hardly recognized anyone in the
business fraternity. The spotted cows did a good job of cooking
this year; they made lots of Thai dishes. And they had the cutest
family shirts! They purchased kid sized polos and sewed on spotted
cow patches made with felt and beads. Anyway, it seems odd talking
to members, makes me feel so old.

I went to Emily and Richard's birthday dinner at Skate's
On The Bay in Berkeley. I like how the restaurant is right along
the marina so you have a pretty view of the water. I ordered a salmon
dish but the grilled ahi tuna was good too. Anyway, it was good
catching up with some bappers. Ben, Jean, Shawna, and Yong were
there. Heehee, it was like a semi spotted cow reunion.

Louise and Sandy came over and I attempted to make lunch
for them. I tried to make a steamed salmon dish, Asian salad, and
pasta. Did you know if you mix a little bit of alfredo with marinara
sauce it tastes pretty good? It adds a good dose of creaminess.
Afterwards, we watched Mean Girls, hehe so funny.

I went to Steve's birthday dinner at Shiok,
a Singaporean restaurant in Menlo Park. I would recommend the following
dishes: Chilean Seabass Steamed in Banana Leaf, Shiok! Chops, Roti
Prata, and the coconut-flavored rice. Roti Prata reminded me of
the million layer pancake you can get at 369 Shanghai Cafe in Fremont.
Afterwards, we went extreme bowling at Mel's Bowl in Redwood City.
I liked how everything had this funky glow to it. I actually bowled
decently with a few strikes! Once I was warmed up, two of my score
were actually above 100. Woot! Anyway, it was fun chatting with
Sandy and Steve's dragonboat racing teammates.

Friday Night
Lights opened today. It's kinda weird, all I have to do is look
outside on a Saturday night and I see the bright lights from the
football field at Chabot.
