| DAY 6: JUNE 3, 2002 - LUCERNE, SWITZERLAND |
|
Geographic landmarks: Lake Lucerne,
Swiss Alps
Tourist traps we conquered:
- Lion Monument
The view from our hotel room is gorgeous; you can see the snow
covered
Swiss Alps in the distance. Our hotel is in a ski village, kinda
Lake Tahoe-ish. Cynthia and I sat on the balconey at night and watched
the stars. It was a perfectly clear night. We sawe weird flashes
of light behind the mountains but concluded it was probably some
military exercise. I love the warm, down blankets that our rooms
had.

| DAY 7: JUNE 4, 2002 - LUCERNE, SWITZERLAND |
Tourist traps we conquered:
- Chapel Bridge
- Jesuit Church
- Mt. Pilatus: we reached the peak by cog railways and went down
by gondolas. We saw cute, floppy eared cows with huge bells around
their necks grazing on the hills. At the top, there were cobblestone
tunnels and passageways. There's a lot of dragon folklore associaled
with Mt. Pilatus.
- Spreuer Bridge
- Water Tower
Activities:
- Lake Cruise, the captain let one of the guys jump into the lake
for a swim.
I bought tons of Lindt chocolate; I hope it doesn't melt! Tip:
buy chocolate and food at grocery stores; it's cheaper there. I
also bought four swiss army knives, one for each sister.
