About Me!

My name is Maryanne Brown and I am a sophomore at the University of California, Berkeley. I am an intended double major in Business and Conservation and Resource Studies. With these majors I plan to go to an Ivy League for Grad School and then become the Environmental Affairs Director of a fortune 500 company.

I’m very involved with different clubs at UC Berkeley. I’m the internal affairs director of the Office of External Affairs. I was in charge of Voter Registration for the entire school (we registered over 2500 voters this year). As part of my office I also meet with legislators every other week to voice students concerns. I am also in the sorority Alpha Omicron Pi. I’m still pretty new to the whole thing because I rushed as a sophomore but so far I absolutely LOVE IT. I start my cabinet position of Activities Chair next semester, so I’m really excited about that.

I have many hobbies- I guess I’m just an interesting person. I love do pretty much anything outdoors- hiking, swimming, backpacking, and skiing. Probably, my favorite outdoor sport is knee boarding. I used to be a competitive knee boarder when I was younger, but I didn’t have enough time to do it once I started college. I also love to dance (in fact I’m the former captain of my cheer squad). Now dancing pretty much consists of that which I do in my room while procrastinating... but hey it still counts. Recently, I discovered Nia which is an African form of dancing which is the art of moving in sync with ones emotions (sound weird...but I promise it's not).

I hope you enjoyed my website! Here are some more pics for your viewing pleasure!
