During my Junior Year at UC Berkeley, I was involved in a Residential Theme Program called APATH.  It stands for Asian Pacific American Theme House and it is designed to help Berkeley students become aware of the Asian Pacific heritage as well as volunteering for the community.  It was located at the newly named Unit 3 Cleary Hall (formerly Haste-Channing) on the third floor.  All residents from that floor took part in weekly lectures and community service activities.  We all worked very hard to make the ideals of APATH come alive.

EVENTS

Even though APATH is an academically oriented program, the members did take part in social events as well.  Here are some examples.

LECTURES

We had lectures every week in the first floor lounge.  We discussed about many topics that were stimulating and provocative.  Through my weekly writeups, I will try to share with you some of the things that were discussed.
