About me

I grew up in Vacaville, California, a growing city halfway between Sacramento and San Francisco. I went to UC Berkeley for my undergraduate studies and now live in the Torrance area of Southern California.

Vision

I want to know God more and see His kingdom advanced. He has gifted me to use computer technology, which is my passion. I believe that computers and technology will play an integral role throughout my life as I follow God into His purposes. I feel that God wants me to serve both in ministry and in the business world within my lifetime.

Currently I am serving as the IT Administrator for Every Nation Ministries. I am mostly doing system administration and tech support for our ministry, along with a little bit of development. I would love to help see our IS department grow and to focus more on development. If God wills, in the future I would love to influence gamers and game developers for God by getting into the game industry and developing games that point people towards God.

My Story

I had been to church some while growing up and mentally agreed with what I heard. But, as a teen I wondered what it meant to be a Christian and if I would go to heaven when I died. I knew I had broken some of the Ten Commandments and that I had not been baptized as a child. Some nightmares I had had as a child and the thought of the world possibly coming to an end gave me a fear of death.

But, I was too insecure in high school to do much about it. Also, during this time I became addicted to pornography. I knew it was wrong but I felt powerless to stop. I tried reading the Bible starting with Genesis looking for answers - but didn't make it very far. There was one conversation I had during high school that stood out, however. I asked my friend if she was afraid of the world coming to an end, and she said no because she knew she was going to heaven. I wondered how she could know for sure, but she was confident.

I went to UC Berkeley for college, and in the new environment I felt secure to start going to church again. I went to one for a little while but it seemed odd that a church 2 blocks from campus had only a couple of students. My questions weren't being answered either. But then I heard that a friend from high school had started going to this Bible study on campus. I thought it odd because he had been going the opposite direction in high school. I had a class with him the next semester and after asking him about it, he invited me.

I totally fell in love with the people and the message. Everyone was so friendly and full of joy, and the messages were relateable and powerful. Soon after, I gave my life to the Lord. He set me free from my addiction to porn and I began to experience the joy and freedom of a relationship with Jesus.

Two years later at a conference God called me into ministry. I didn't know what that meant at the time, but after finishing UC Berkeley and attending the Graduate School of Campus Ministry, I am now serving as the IT Administrator for Every Nation Ministries.
