Page 15: Britney Spears (Last Page)

Living in the biggest city of the country definitely has its advantages. Fox Studios in Sydney is host to almost every Australia premiere for every movie. I didn't plan on going to any premieres during my stay here, but when I found out Britney Spears was coming, I quickly changed my mind.

Apparently due to bad publicity from her premiere in London, she decided to give a free mini-concert during the day before her movie premiere at night. Waiting in line with a bunch of Australian teenagers for a few hours was actually quite a blast. They're really friendly and think very fondly of Americans. My favorite line was when I would first talk to someone and they would hear my 'American accent' and say "You're American?? Are you here with Britney Spears??" Below, some die-hard fans performed "Oops I Did It Again" for a local news station.

Thousands of teeny-boppers were no obstacle in my pursuit to get close to Britney Spears. I easily made my way to the first row, and except for the press, I had a pretty close shot of her.

Yes, she looks even better in real life than on tv....

The red carpet extravagnza for her movie premiere was pretty cool. I was unsuccessful at my attempt to get an autograph though...

But I did get pretty close to her...

Below in the yellow shirt and jacket, Laurence Fishburne walked quickly down the red carpet. There were several celebrities there, most of them Australian.

There you have it... some of the highlights of my longest stay in a foreign country. If 15 pages wasn't enough for you, don't worry, there are a ton more in my physical album that you can see too. Just let me know if you're interested...
