About Us
The Materials Science and Engineering Association (MSEA) at UC Berkeley is an active community of students who like to have fun and are in love with Cal MSE. We are dedicated to help students bridge the gap between education and employment. We sponsor tours of industry sites, lectures by materials science faculty and graduate students, and have tons of cool demos of materials that are fun to play with. We can help facilitate campus recruiting and information sessions. As the only undergraduate MSE group on campus, we are the direct link from industries to the students at Berkeley. Industry involvement would be beneficial to both the students and the industry.
In addition to the academic benefits of joining this association, we also take time out and have social events such as movies, game night, and field trips.
These activities provide students with the information necessary to make academic and career decisions and a social atmosphere in which they can exchange ideas with peers. In addition, we provide free tutoring, class schedule advising for those of you who needs help choosing classes at Cal. Our officers could offer you advice on cool professors and good classes they have taken. We also have a vast amount of past exam files collected over the years that will be tremendous help to you when exams come around, as well as other benefits to our members to help them get the most out of their time at Cal.
MSEA membership includes Materials Science Engineering majors, as well as students pursuing double majors with other departments. Members and participants from all fields of study and levels of education are encouraged to join! You will be able to meet many people from the same department and classes, and attending out future events will be great, relaxing ways to meet new friends.
