The name Moraga comes from a long while back; during the times when the Moors occupied Spain. A member of the family of Moors met a man from the Agha family. They got into some sort of argument and one killed the other (It is not known who killed who). Hence the name Moor-Agha, or Moraga. According to the man who told us this story, who by the way was a member of the Moraga Chamber Of Commerce, said that this Agha guy may be a distant ancestor of ....Yep! You guessed it! The family of Taleb-Agha. Taleb was my great-great grandfather, and back then the child took the name of his father. That's where the Taleb part comes from
One more thing. The reason I say I am from royal blood, is because the term Agha means just that ....Royal. Somewhere along the lines I had a relative who was positioned in the high courts. To add another point. Taleb means student. So my family is the family of Royal Students. Neato-keen!
