White Wolf announces new Mage Developer

Atlanta, GA - White Wolf Publishing announced that Bill Bridges has assumed the post of Mage: The Ascension Developer.

Bill Bridges was the original Werewolf Developer from 1992 until 1995. He was one of the original designers on Mage and has written for many Mage sourcebooks, including the Sons of Ether Tradition Book and the Book of Worlds. His credits over the years on other World of Darkness lines, from Vampire to Changeling, are too numerous to mention here. His newest book, the Bone Gnawers/Stargazers Tribe Novel for Werewolf, has just been released.

Bill will be replacing Jess Heinig in this position and is quite excited about beginning the position.

"It's great to be back full-time at White Wolf," Bill said. "Mage is game I've always felt an affinity for, and I've written more for Mage than any other line except Werewolf. I've got some ideas I've always wanted to introduce with Mage, and now's the chance. I look forward to taking the game farther than it's ever been taken before."

Bill's return to White Wolf heralds a new direction for the Mage line as the best elements of all editions of the game, past and present, are brought together. Mage will continue to be the storytelling game of modern magick, but will combine early editions' vistas of opportunity for player characters in controlling reality, and the revised edition's struggle against a Technocracy that has won the Ascension War. Mages may have lost the war, but their rebellion is far from dead. The new direction for the line will keep the game firmly entrenched in the World of Darkness well known in other White Wolf games, while still allowing players to explore realms beyond.

Please join us in welcoming Bill to his new position at White Wolf, and join us for new opportunities in Mage, getting underway soon.
