On behalf of UC Berkeley’s Pilipino American Alliance (PAA), this year’s 34th Annual Pilipino Cultural Night (PCN) humbly extends a marketing opportunity for your business in our production’s program.

PCN is an entirely student produced culture show that draws more than 2,000 audience members comprising students faculty, alumni, family and members from the Berkeley community and the greater Bay Area. Proudly celebrating Pilipino-American culture via the world-renowned Zellerbach Hall stage, PCN is the ideal venue to generate and sustain promotion for your business among Pilipino and more broadly Asian-identified communities. This year’s performance on Sunday, April 11, 2010, hopes to address not only local communities, but also an extended network of Southern California collegiate networks and families. Your support of this unparalleled production highlights your corporate social responsibility values and commitment to supporting student growth in the arts and cultural retention.

PCN nurtures and fosters a network through its annual community service project, which in the past have included campaigns for veterans’ rights and food drives for low-income neighborhoods. This year, PCN focuses on raising awareness and initiatives towards the 2010 Census and the under-representation and challenges posed to colored communities like the UCB Pilipino student population.

Widely anticipated for its showcase of art and culture through dance, drama, and music, PCN continues to educate its own cast and crew along with its audience as it portrays contemporary and historic issues pertinent to the Pilipino-American community and its allies. It continues its legacy as the longest-running cultural show on the UC Berkeley campus, and the second longest-running PCN in the entire country.

This extensive production incurs costs in surplus of $35,000 annually, mostly towards venue rental. As a nonprofit organization, your support of PCN through PAA are tax deductible. We hope you strongly consider sponsoring the production and appreciate any other monetary and in-kind donations.
