Publicity

Name: Melissa Rombaoa
Year: Class of 2011
Major: Public Health
Hometown: San Diego, CA
Pre-Professional Track:Business/Health Administration

Why did you decide to join PAHC?
I initially joined pack first semester of my first year just for fun and because my brother was a former core member. Since then, PAHC has become a family to me. I have met some of the greatest people through this organization. PAHC is the perfect group to be part of if you care about pre-professionalism, community service, leadership, and also want to have fun socially.

As a core member, what skills or knowledge can you contribute to PAHC’s Internship Program ?
As Co-Publicity Coordinator, I am in charge of making sure everyone knows about upcoming PAHC events (i.e. meetings, fundraisers, community service, clubbing). This involves creating fliers, emails, facebook groups, and managing PAHC tabling on Sproul. Publicity is also responsible for helping make our members look ridiculously good-looking in PAHC apparel. I can help interns expand their creativity, build social networks, learn & exercise marketing techniques, and provide an outlet for artistic ability.

What do you like to do on your free time?
I like hanging out with friends, going out, shopping, and reading – you know, the usual. I thrive off being busy, but I can also be a homebody. I love to dance (take class, choreograph, teach) and play music. I’m a caffeine enthusiast. In the fall, I love Cal football on Saturdays and the Chargers on Sundays. =]

Name: Patricia Mora
Year: Class of 2012
Major: Integrative Biology
Hometown: Hercules, CA
Pre-Professional Track:
Coordinator has yet to send in pictures…

Why did you decide to join PAHC?
I wanted to gain more insight about health information and future careers. I also wanted to be part of something on campus and contribute to the community.

As a core member, what skills or knowledge can you contribute to PAHC’s Internship Program ?
I can contribute to the intern program by being an available resource to
the interns. Whether it be for academics, personal problems, or just
needing someone to chill with, i’m always down to help.

What do you like to do on your free time?
If i ever have free time I’ll most likely be eating. I also like to cook
and listen to music. When I’m lucky enough to have more of free time, I
really like driving and listening to my music or lying out on the grass.
