Internship
The PAHC Internship Program was established to familiarize students with current health issues pertaining to Pilipino Americans and their extended communities. Throughout the semester, interns will be given the chance to work with various medical organizations including Asian Health Services and the Philippine Medical Society of Northern California (PMSNC). Additionally they have the opportunity to be involved in a Mentorship Program in which they can shadow graduate students/ professionals in the health professions of their interest.
Our program provides interns with the support and guidance they need to pursue their profession in the healthcare community. Resources such as an online testbank and professional development workshops are available for all interns. Students may intern on a volunteer basis or earn units, which require a time commitment of 45 hours per unit. PAHC is a very diverse organization and is not limited to only Pilipino health majors. PAHC’s Internship Program serves to build one’s leadership and academic standing, while developing personal growth and friendships. Through our Internship Program students not only become part of a community, but a family.
