Philippine Medical Mission
As an organization, PAHC’s goal is to serve and reach out to the Pilipino community, both here in the Bay Area and in the Philippines. A unique facet of the Pilipino Undergraduate Mission Program is the Philippine Medical Mission, a humanitarian relief effort wherein free health care is generously given to those who cannot afford it and desperately need medical attention. This year’s mission will take place in San Jose Occidental, Mindoro, Philippines from January 16 – 20, 2012.
The Philippine Medical Society of Northern California, who sponsors the mission, has been volunteering medical services (surgical, medical, dental) since 1986 to different cities throughout the Philippines. Each year PAHC is offered a limited number of volunteer positions for students to assist doctors and nurses on the mission. This year’s mission application is due September 30, 2011, 5pm at 515 Eshleman in the PAHC office. We encourage everyone to apply for this amazing experience! Questions and concerns can be emailed to Mark or Melanie at pahc.pump@gmail.com.
