Tom Brady vs. No. 1 Draft Picks
Four years ago, quarterback Tom Brady was signed by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers to replace a quarterback sixteen years younger than him (Jameis Winston).
Brady made the Buccaneers' management look good as he led the Buccaneers to their second-ever Super Bowl win in his first season
with the team. He retired from the NFL last year.
Winston was the #1 pick of the 2015 NFL Draft and Brady was the #199 pick (!!) of the 2000 NFL Draft. While Winston's draft position was better than Brady's,
Brady (NFL-record seven Super Bowl wins, NFL-record 15 Pro Bowls) clearly had a better career than Winston has had (no Super Bowl wins, one Pro Bowl). Winston is not
the only #1 pick that Brady fared better than. Here's a look
at all
twenty-three #1 NFL Draft picks this millenium that were picked before Brady retired:

*PB = number of Pro Bowls
Brady lasted longer than eleven (!!!) of the first thirteen men on this list. All twenty-three men have been selected for at most four Pro Bowls (eleven
less than Brady's fifteen selections). Of course, the last four men on the list have not had the opporunity to be selected to four Pro Bowls.
