Tell Us About Your Position
The Gender and Sexuality Awareness Coordinator (GSAC) is part of the Retention component. GSAC supports community members and their well-being by providing safe spaces for dialogue and the sharing of experiences. Such opportunities include Biyuti meetings (for the queer and queer-minded) and Womyn's Committee meetings. Other events and programs include trips to LGBT conferences, a GSAC retreat in the spring, and outreaches to high school GSA clubs.
What is your most memorable experience in PASS?
My most memorable experience in PASS is my first time attending one of their programs. It was an event two years ago called Day of the Filipino Womyn and was the reason why I decided to join PASS. It opened up my eyes to issues that I would have otherwise been oblivious to.
