About the Cal Pre-Dental Society

Our Goal

The Cal Pre-Dental Society is a registered student organization of University of California, Berkeley. We are dedicated to improving the oral health of the surrounding communities while providing professional development for our members through initiatives in education, advocacy, and ethical professional standards.

Our Commitment to the Community

All Cal Pre-Dental Society members are given the opportunity to participate in community service activities. Many of our community projects are aimed at advocating dental education as well as oral and general health in underprivileged school-aged communities around the Bay Area. Our biggest project is the Dental Education Outreach Program (DEOP), with which we strive to make a lasting difference in the community through education.

Our Commitment to Our Members

The Cal Pre-Dental Society offers support to fellow students at UC Berkeley by providing a forum for students to address their concerns regarding application preparation as well as the field of dentistry. We make an effort to assist our members in becoming competitive dental school applicants through educational opportunities, community service, and exposure to the dental field.

Past programs sponsored by PDS include conferences, dental professional presentations, dental school tours, socials, shadowing, practice DATs, dental student Q-and-A panels, in addition to a growing range of other events.
