Joining Cal Predental Society

We encourage all those considering dentistry as a possible future career as well as all students motivated in gaining valuable community service experience to apply. There are no GPA requirements as all our members have already demonstrated academic success as UC Berkeley students.


How to join

To become a member, you will need to submit an application (found here) as well as pay a membership fee. The fee starts out at $10 at the beginning of the semester. But after our 3rd general meeting, the membership fee becomes $15.

How to become an active member

In addition, to submitting an application with the appropriate membership fee, additional requirements must be met:

  • Community service involvement: four events per semester with PDS, not including your own individual volunteering activities (all members will be assisted in placement).
  • After two General Meeting absences, those who have time conflicts must complete 1 PDS event for every missed meeting.
  • Regular attendance and contribution to CalPDS sponsored gatherings such as the general meetings, social events, professional events, and fundraising events.

Joining the Predental Mailing List

To join the predental mailing list, send a message to [majordomo@listlink.berkeley.edu]. The contents (i.e. body) of the message must only contain the words "subscribe predental". Leave the subject blank.

Leaving the Predental Mailing List
