Students and parents of all grades are welcome! Come, bring your friends, and learn about the college admissions process and how you (or your child) can best manage it! Please register below so we can account for all attendees.

PTPS is proud to offer different workshops for high school students for Spring 2012. Our workshops are meticulously planned and executed by our instructors, and are critical for college preparation. Registration for each workshop is available online; the workshops are open to any interested students, and are completely free of charge. Please register in advance in order to guarantee a spot. Please attend workshops with note-taking materials and questions, in order to make the best of your time.

Overview about the exam, as well as general strategies and tips, will be discussed. This workshop is a MUST if you are new to the world of SAT prep, or simply want to learn more!

Please note that you must be ON TIME for mock exams, as we will not be able to accommodate and accurately time latecomers.

3/1710am-12pmVerbal Strategies The goal of this workshop is to provide an in-depth look at the verbal portion of the SAT I. Instructors will discuss the types of sections and questions presented, and the strategies necessary to master these questions. Students will approach problems step-by-step with the instructor, and take home valuable skills regarding vocabulary, writing, and critical reading.

4/710am-12pmCollege Gateway This workshop will give students and their parents a glimpse into today’s competitive college application process. We will discuss the different components of the process, such as the Common app, application fees/fee waivers, and teacher recommendations. We will also provide basic information on financial aid, and the resources available to aid incoming college students.
