This is my last year at Cal, 5th year in the bay area. I love to hang out with friends and meet people with different background. So if you see me in class or out, just wave and say hi. I would really appreciate that. =)

I like bumming around my apt watching tv (huge Entourage, Breaking Bad, House fan), playing video games, and eating.

I am also obsessed with watching basketball (Lakers will repeat!), but I'm horrible at actually playing the game. If you ask me whether Kobe or Lebron is better, get ready for a 20min lecture.

Academically, I have no idea what I want to specialize in. I have no aspirations for grad school, but I would love to get involved in the aerospace industry after graduation.

I am currently taking me102a, me102b, me275 and anthro2ac (easiest ac class you will EVER find). Feel free to ask me any questions on them if you want/need/have to take them.

I do research in the Berkeley Manufacturing Institute with Lee Weinstein (Chair of Pledge Projects). Our test bed is visible from the second floor of etch. You can see it in the lab with all the windows next to the computer labs. Our experimental setup is across from the CNC machine.

My hobbies (when school work allows) include hard shell kayaking (see profile picture), ultimate frisbee, brewing (and consuming) beer and doing random stuff with friends.

First thing, I am a major anime fan. Every anime made after 2006 I've pretty much seen (at least one episode of, since some of them were simply intolerably bad). Most of my music collection comes from anime or jpop and I even have worked in a fansub group over the internet. Due to school pressures, however, I am currently on hiatus from that part of the internet.

Aside from my interests in taking mechanical engineering classes and toying around with math and programming, I am something of a gamer at heart (or at least used to be). Before I became an engineer, I was quite the DDR competitor, an avid swimmer, and an average runner. My proudest DDR achievement was once AAing the Max 300.

Nowadays, I spend most of my time on homework for my classes and reading academic papers from LBL (among other sources) for my research. Although I consider myself something of a jedi with the adobe suit, I don't consider myself much of a design artist and often find myself enjoying the theoretical side of mechanical engineering more.

Come talk to me if you are an anime fan, enjoy gaming, like math and theoretical stuff, like mythbusters, watch man v. wild, keep up with the news, or whatever!

I like riding bikes fast, walking on ropes tied to trees, and backpacking. I also like school. I like learning new stuff, so if you know about something cool, let me know.

I love physics, so if you want to talk about how cool physics is you should talk to me. If you don't like physics, you should talk to me anyway and I'll try to set you straight. Or I'll help you with your problem sets.

Hmm...what to say...I love to play tennis (I’m also involved in Tennis at Cal) and table tennis, although I haven't played in a while. I also enjoy going to the gym with friends and wasting time on facebook…I have this incredibly bad habit of picking up random things and breaking them...which is also how I know I’m in the right major...one more thing...I like ellipses...

I'm a second-year engineering physics major (how'd that happen?!?) hailing from Orange County that loves to play pickup basketball at the RSF, listen to/perform/compose music, and work on sweet engineering projects, like TREBUCHETS, RUBE GOLDBERG MACHINES, and ROCKET BOATS!!!

I like food, sleeping, and running, only if I can tear myself away from watching TV shows.

I'm interested in biomedical/biomechanical engineering; I think being an engineering consultant at some pharmaceutical company would be pretty cool.

Yay

I am a graduate student in the ME 5 year BS/MS program. My focus is in mechanics of materials. I hope to land a career in aerospace or defense that will give me the opportunity to work on composite materials.

I currently work on non-lethal projectiles in the Ballistics Impact Laboratory with Professor Lieu. The irony is my research group shares the lab with another research group that tests lethal projectiles.

If you have any questions about PTS or anything, feel free to talk to me. I will be more than willing to help.

I'm from Texas, but I've moved around a lot. I'm interested in programming and robotics, and product engineering. I'm a typical nerd. I like all the regular things like music, reading, and spending time on the computer. And I'm Asian.

You should totally look at my webcomic: nolongernow.com

Also, please bother me to finish working on my game. If you don't want me to finish my game, you can always instead bother me to play TF2 or L4D2 with you.

Class of 2012

I hail from southern California and love the sun, sports, and iced coffee. When I’m not busy getting my study on, I like to play/watch basketball and soccer (my favorite teams are the Lakers and Manchester United), but I also started to pick up golf over the summer and am looking to improve my swing.

Besides majoring in mechanical engineering, I am hoping to pursue a minor in bioengineering/biomechanics—I still can’t decide whether I want to enter the medical field or chase my childhood dreams of space exploration by working for NASA.

Although it gets hectic, I love being involved in student groups on campus and I hope to see you at PTS events in the future.

I am an avid sports fan-football, basketball, hockey, and more- but most importantly soccer. I've been playing it all my life and love to watch my favorite team, FC Barcelona.

I've also been playing the cello for many many years. Music is a huge passion of mine; i like to listen to many different types in addition to the usual kinds including samba and trance.

I also like to explore new places and do crazy things that push the limits. Skydiving, cliff jumping, and jet skiing are probably the most exhilarating things for me after soccer of course!

I am slowly pursuing a pilots license and am excited to see where that will take me...

I love fluid mechanics and theoretical mechanics in general. I also love the history of science and math. It's sadly a lost art in these parts. You've heard of Euler, Lagrange, Riemann, Cauchy, and those other old guys. You gotta wonder what made them tick.

Life story in a nutshell: Born and raised in the Philippines, 5 years in the US Marines (worked on Harriers!), current PhD student, former PTS president, TBP and EJC officer and ASME secretary.

I play bowling, tennis, and softball. I play guitar and speak a little French. I like board games, crosswords and classic movies.

I love my San Francisco Giants.

nowhere, apparently
This semester, I am advising the Industrial Liaisons. Aside from my engineering interests, I spend entirely too much time with Israeli Folk Dance (I even teach a DeCal on it) and theater (my minor!). An interesting fact: I have never owned an MP3 player, and I don't intend to. (Technically, I had one once, but it didn't work, and I didn't bother to return it.)
