I am a Ph.D. candidate in Political Science at the University of California, Berkeley. Right now, I’m based in Beijing doing fieldwork for my dissertation on environmental litigation in China (think: "A Civil Action" or "Erin Brockovich"). I’m especially interested in lawyers’ motivation and strategy. In other words, why do lawyers take cases and how do they win them? Part of my dissertation also looks at global ties and what, if anything, lawyers get from exposure to international networks. More broadly, I’m interested in globalization, contentious politics and legal development.
Please feel free to get in touch, either personally or professionally.
