August 25: Calapolooza

  • Location: Memorial Glade
  • Time: 11:00 - 2:00 pm

    Calapolooza was a great success this year, thanks to the help of the current and former advisors, and the SHKCA club members. Nearly all of the 200 SHKCA brochures were given out and nearly 70 new students signed up with the SHKCA contact list.

September 15: Moon Festival Celebration

  • Location: 175 Barrows Hall
  • Time: 7:00 pm

    Everyone is welcome!!!
    The Moon Festival Celebration was an evening full of fun. The event began with the introduction and history of the Mid-Autumn by the President and club officers. It progressed into a discussion forum where officers and members shared their Moon Festival experiences and stories. Moon cakes were served to everyone who came to the meeting. Afterwards, members split into 4 groups of 8 and try to solve riddles. The evening concluded with the highest group score of 42 riddles solved out of a possible 82.

October 7: Game Night

    Game night features MahJong, chinese chess, chinese checkers, and much more interactive games.

    SHKCA proudly presents our 2nd Guest Speaker Seminar. Professor Xiao Qiang, director of China Internet Project from Graduate School of Journalism, will come and talk about "The Internet and China's Democratic Transition". Please join us for dinner with the professor after seminar. Everyone is welcomed.
