Training-

Snowsports are inherently dangerous and require both athleticism and mental awareness.  Our training begins with the start of school and continues throughout the season.

Dry Land:

We begin dryland training around the 3rd week of the Fall semester in order to ensure that we are adequately prepared for the physical demands of the mountains. For reference, below is the schedule from last year. While it can be a pain to show up, it will make you a better athlete, and everything will be a lot easier if you are in shape once you get on the slopes.

While dryland training is totally non-manditory, we encourage everyone to show up as often as they can, especially on Fridays for our fun team building events.

Monday Tuesday Wednesday Thursday Friday Time
Trail Run. Meet at East Gate (entrance to Hass School of Business on Piedmont) Gym/Weight Training. Meet in front of RSF. Stadium stair running. Meet at entrance to Evans (Baseball) Stadium (parking lot between Haas Pavilion and Strawberry Creek). Soccer. Meet at Memorial Glade. Social team buildling Events. TBD weekly. 6-7:30 PM

Training Camp:

After New Year’s, we hold a two week training camp, during which our world class coach helps us develop our skills and mental approach to skiing and competition. Our cabin is packed and most ski or board every day. These are two of the most memorable weeks you will have during your college carrier.

Mid Season:

Once the spring semester begins, we continue our coached training on Fridays
(with races and comps on most weekends through the end of March), so we encourage everyone to try to have their schedules permit three-day weekends.
