Nevertheless, the accuracy of the translation might be more questionable than usual for this song, so be sure to read it with a grain of salt. [1] The reading "toki" (time) is given the kanji "joukyou" (situation, circumstance). So, this line could be translated as both "...whatever the time, you won't give up..." or "...no matter the situation, you won't give up..." [2] In the Do-can lyrics booklet, the reading "koko" is actually substituted with the picture of a heart (ie, "right here" = "in my heart"). [3] In the Do-can CD lyrics booklet, there's a note that says that the "castle" refers to one's job/work, school, etc. [4] I'm not very sure of the meaning here. "Kageguchi" means "talking behind one's back", but another kanji is usually used for "kage" than the one here (here, the kanji for "kageguchi" literally mean "shadowy words"). [5] The reading "wake" (reason, meaning) is given the kanji "riyuu" (reason, motive). [6] The reading "kabe" (wall) is given the kanji "shougai" (obstacle).
