UGSA Presents: Last Chance Summer Research Opportunities Workshop
Every year, we put on this workshop to help students who have been struggling to find something productive to do over the summer. This event takes place towards the end of the spring semester when many summer programs have closed their application. We go through a number of topics including an overview of which programs are still open as well as how to find your own research opportunities both at UC Berkeley and elsewhere. The cornerstone of this event every year is that we go out and find research positions with professors and researchers at UCSF and LBNL (and even one at UCLA for Spring 2008). The powerpoint for last spring's event can be found here.
Eggster
Eggster is a campus event that is put on every year for children around Easter time. In the past, UGSA has taken the theme of catapults to educate children about ancient technologies and modern science. The object of the game at our booth is to launch ping pong ball projectiles into the city walls to win prizes.

The City
Please join us next year in designing and working on a booth for Eggster in Spring 2009. |
