About our club Bears for UNICEF is an ASUC/Cal Corps sponsored student group at UC Berkeley. Founded in 2001 we are the model college campus group. Our goals are to raise funds for and spread awareness about UNICEF (United Nations Children's Fund) by working on the Berkeley campus as well as with children in the local community. We plan fundraiser activities and community outreach programs, and hand out information on Sproul to educate students about the needs of children in developing countries and how they can help. Our Trademark Events -Trick or Treat for UNICEF during October -5k Run/Walk in April -Outreach with kids, documentary screenings, and teddy bear drives throughout each semester
